The summer program in Australia 2013/8/31 – 2013/9/15

I had many great experiences in Australia; I would like to share a few things from my trip.  It was a two week program that I will enjoy for years.

◆Nature-

I saw a perfectly clear sky, many wild animals and unique plants.　While visiting a Koala’s Hospital, the staff told me why koala’s needs to be protected.  Preserving nature is important and will take time.

◆Culture-

There are many different cultures in Australia.  I was able to learn about these unique cultures. When I went to the Fusion Festival in Southern Cross University at Lismore city, I really enjoyed eating different countries local dishes and watching several shows. I think it is important for those who have different values to understand each other’s’ cultures.

◆People –

I met many wonderful people in my short trip. Especially, the time I spent with my host family. These are my treasures.　I made a lot of memories with them, for example I read some books to their children, I helped my host mom with the cooking and we enjoyed chatting every day. I’ll never forget these brilliant memories.　My last night before I returned to Japan, my host family gave me a letter and present. I was so moved, I couldn’t stop crying.

I hope to visit to Australia again someday.　Every day was lovely and special.
